Artyom is a precious orphan from Eastern Europe who was born with Down Syndrome. He is "HEALTHY, with a smile that can light up a room. He is an orphanage favorite and is described as very friendly, affectionate, active and happy." Sadly, children like him are routinely institutionalized at age 4 when they are not yet adopted. Artyom has recently turned four and is now at risk for being placed in an "institution", a place where it is rare that a child survives longer then another six months due to severe neglect. There is a ministry fighting for him calledReece's Rainbowand we are pulling for him, too! Not everyone is in a position to adopt, but we can all help. Modest donations can mean the difference of a loving family for this beautiful child, instead of the institution; and prayers can move mountains. (To learn more, refer to the Dec. 7th post.)
More then anything, Artyom needs a loving family. If you may be able to welcome this precious little guy into your life, please contact Andrea at: bamaroberts@comcast.net. Money can continue to be raised to aid adoption costs. Please remember Artyom in your prayers. Thank you. (Info on how to help is below.)
